Account Ownership
Mutual fund companies generally offer two types of accounts to investors:
- Nominee Account - When it comes to this type of account, the financial advisor is responsible for account administration, but the owner of the account is the nominee or dealer company.
- Client Name Account - While the owner of the account is the investor, their financial advisor is responsible for account administration. For non-registered plans, Renaissance Investments offers the choice of Corporate, Individual, Joint and In-Trust accounts to the investor. For registered plans, Renaissance Investments offers a wide range of Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs) and Registered Retirement Income Funds (RRIFs) — both regular and locked-in — and Registered Education Savings Plans (RESPs).
